Check out this quick video to see just some of the supercars in london 2014

With rooms costing up to £5,300 a night, they are not the sort of hotels where you’d expect to find many Ford Fiestas in the guests’ car park.

And these images show some of the astonishing vehicles parked outside the five-star Dorchester and Wellesley hotels in Mayfair, central London.

Among the manufacturers of the impressive cars on display were Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Bentley.

And many numberplates were foreign – with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait represented on a Lamborghini, Ferrari and Rolls Royce respectively.

The specific cars models on display included a green 217mph Lamborghini Aventador worth £295,000 and a blue 202mph Ferrari 458 worth £200,000.

Gary Tolson, sales manager at luxury car dealer Tom Hartley, based in Overseal, Derbyshire, identified all the cars pictured for MailOnline.

He said: ‘There are loads of UK supercars all over the place, but around the hotels you tend to get the rich Arabs who fly them in for holidays.

‘The market for us is always ongoing, there’s always people who want to buy luxury cars – it’s always manic for us, both buying and selling.’

The Dorchester’s most expensive room per night is the £5,315 Harlequin suite, while the top one at The Wellesley is the £895 Hyde Park View Suite.

New Ferrari California T spotted in Spain

Here are the HPI offices we are on the lookout for the new ferrari california T because apparently a test car has been spotted in Southern Spain.

Here is a photo of the car taken driving in Spain.

ferrari_california_t_test_mule_

Judging by the image above , we can see some duct tape which is hiding a few wires, near the A-pillar, coming out of the hood. It is unusual to see such a model on the roads but this may turn out to be either a hotter version of the California or even an entry-level sports car, which will be completely different.

Until we will find out what this model is exactly, we will remind you that the Ferrari California T is the newest model in the company’s lineup and it has been officially unveiled just a few months ago, in Geneva.

Its styling has been inspired by the one of its larger brothers and we can see influences from the FF, from the F12 Berlinetta and even from the 458 Italia.

It has a 3.8L turbocharged engine under its hood, rated at 560 HP (412 kW) and 755 Nm (556 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 – 100 km/h sprint made in 3.6s and a top speed of 316 km/h.

The ferrari california is one of our most requested cars because it is such a perfect car to drive and relax.

Imagine taking one of these through Italy down the Amalfi Coast or down the French Riviera with the roof down just soaking in the fantastic scenery.

This video will help you picture what it would be like

A truly unforgettable experience I am sure you would agree.

Who will win the luxury car race BMW or Audi?

BMW held onto the lead in global luxury-car sales as demand for 5-Series sedans and X5 sport-utility vehicles helped edge out Audi AG.

BMW delivered about 1,000 more vehicles than Volkswagen AG (VOW)’s Audi in May as the race for the top spot tightened, according to figures from the carmakers. Through the first five months of 2014, Audi’s sales climbed 12 percent, outpacing BMW’s 11 percent gain. That helped the world’s second-largest maker of premium cars cut Munich-based BMW’s lead to about 8,200 autos from 11,000 a year ago.

Audi has been closing the gap to BMW in recent years with an expanded model line-up in a bid to become the best-selling luxury-auto brand by the end of the decade. In April, the VW unit rolled out a sedan version of the A3 in the U.S., helping sales there jump 26 percent last month. BMW responded with the 2-Series compact coupe, which went on sale in March.

“BMW is more geared into the second half and into 2015” in terms of model introductions, Arndt Ellinghorst, an analyst at ISI Group in London, said by phone. “They report stronger growth right now than I would have thought, given the product outline.”

Deliveries last month of BMW autos rose 10 percent to 153,023 vehicles, as 5-Series sales gained 11 percent and X5 demand surged 63 percent. Including the Mini and Rolls-Royce brands, sales rose 6.8 percent last month, with five-month demand increasing 7.4 percent to just under 826,900 deliveries.

Delivery Target

“The BMW group continued to achieve record sales in May, keeping us well on track to sell over 2 million vehicles in 2014,” Ian Robertson, head of sales and marketing, said in a statement today.

Global sales by Ingolstadt, Germany-based Audi climbed 11 percent to 152,000 cars in May, lifted by a 43 percent surge for A3 models and a 21 percent gain in demand for the Q3 compact SUV. Daimler AG (DAI)’s Mercedes-Benz, which also has a target of overtaking BMW in sales by the end of this decade, increased deliveries 10 percent in May to 134,031, buoyed by demand for the C-Class sedan and GLA compact SUV.

BMW declined as much as 1.1 percent and was trading down 0.6 percent at 92.02 euros at 12:59 p.m. in Frankfurt. VW fell 0.3 percent, while Daimler rose 0.3 percent.

Chinese Push

Surging demand for premium models in China and the U.S., the world’s two largest auto markets, is propelling growth at the three German carmakers, which are all targeting record deliveries for 2014. The competition is heating up after Audi briefly passed the BMW brand in sales at the beginning of this year, while new compact models have generated gains at Mercedes.

The five-month sales lead by BMW over Mercedes was about 80,700 vehicles, narrowing from a year-earlier difference of 88,300 autos. BMW introduced the plug-in hybrid i8 last week, its first sports car in more than three decades. In addition to the 4-Series coupe and X4 SUV already on sale, BMW plans to introduce a variant of the 2-Series, the van-like Active Tourer, this year.

BMW is likely to remain ahead of Audi in deliveries through 2015, said Ellinghorst. Even so, a race among the luxury-car makers to maintain volume at the expense of pricing is undermining profitability and brand perception.

“All these guys are defining themselves by volume and not by price realization,” he said. “You can’t call yourself a premium brand if you give away your product with a 20 percent to 30 percent discount.”

New luxury car room to be opened in Cambodia by Rolls Royce

Some of the poorest countries in the world are attracting luxury car manufacturers to their cities. Rolls Royce will soon be marketing their cars in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced Monday that it has joined with a Cambodian business partner to open a showroom in the Cambodian capital next month.

Rolls-Royce Asia-Pacific regional manager Paul Harris said his company signed a deal with HGB Group Co., Ltd. because it believed demand would grow along with Cambodia’s economy.

Cambodia’s average per capita annual income, according to the World Bank, is just over $1,000, a bit less than one-half of 1 percent of the cost of the cheapest Rolls-Royce.

However, a small but wealthy elite lives in the capital of the mostly rural nation, and it is not unusual to see various models of high-end Lexus automobiles passing by pedicabs in the city’s dusty streets.

Harris said five Rolls-Royces have been sold in Cambodia since 2005.

“Nobody would believe that such a luxury car would come to Cambodia,” said Minister for Industry and Handcrafts Cham Prasidh, who was present for the announcement.

Cheaper Japanese models still dominate the market, but the upgrading of roads – which had suffered from war and neglect – and the rise in people’s living standards mean other car manufacturers from various countries are now entering the Cambodian market, he said.

Luxury car growth is never ending in North America

Luxury Car growth world wide is going from strength to strength with some promising figures already emerging for 2014. North America are not alone in their appreciation of luxury and style, but here lets take a look at who is performing well in the States.

U.S. auto sales turned out to have an incredible month of sales in May. The news was good almost universally (except for the VW brand), but the luxury car market just seems to have no end in sight in North America. What we have not done was to break out sales prices and incentives in the luxury market as a whole.

What is obvious is that the luxury market just keeps on chugging higher and higher once you look at the sales data.

Can some of this be attributed to new model launches? In some cases. Still, the numbers just look strong by almost every account. We took a look at North American sales of Porsche, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Jaguar, and Land Rover for the month of May. Even the used luxury market looked strong when the companies discussed it.

Porsche said that its May sales of 4,609 vehicles was bumped by the mid-May launch of the 2015 Macan S and Macan Turbo (1,263 units). Porsche said that this beats last year’s record sales number by 17.3 percent. It was also the best ever sales month for Porsche in the U.S. Porsche even went on to say that its two-door sports cars and Panamera have continued strong sales performance gains from 2013, and that the demand for Cayenne still outstrips the supply. Porsche even went on to say that its Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales in May were up 17 percent at 994 units.

Mercedes-Benz said that May was the company’s fifth record sales month Of 2014, with its Mercedes-Benz brand sales up 7.7% to 26,617 units. Total sales were represented as being up over 8% to 29,570 units if you blend the Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter and smart model lines. The group’s top sellers in May were its C-, E- and M-Class model lines, with the E-Class up over 25 percent to 6,168 vehicles. Its high-end flagship S-Class volume of 2,173 was up over 82% from the same month last year.

BMW Group U.S. also posted a record May for its BMW brand, in part from the launch of the BMW i3. BMW and MINI combined sales in May were up over 13% to 35,331 vehicles, but sales of BMW brand vehicles rose by more than 17 percent in May for a total of 29,602 vehicles. The BMW i3 has now officially launched, with its first month’s sales totaling 336 units. BMW Pre-Owned Vehicles also rose by 14 percent to 18,064 vehicles. Management even talked up this summer –

“This will be the summer of BMW with the new M3 and M4 on sale this month and the new X4 and 4 Series Gran Coupe coming in July.”

Audi said that this was its best U.S. May sales in the company’s history, and second-best any-month tally period – with it being the 41st consecutive U.S. sales record. Its sales rose to 16,601 powered both by the new entry-level model, A3, and by the brand’s high-end cars. Diesels accounted for 11.5% to 28.2% of sales.

Jaguar and Land Rover have shown that May sales rose 17 percent, to 5,840 units (according to USA Today) – for the best May unit sales report since 2007. The Range Rover Sport redesign had record May sales of 1,496 units for a gain of 35 percent. Sale of the crossover Range Rover Evoque rose a sharp 59 percent to 1,196 sales. Jaguar sales were up 14% in May, led by its F-series sports car coupe and convertible and by the XK sedan.

Marbella has become the home for luxury cars in Spain

Marbella, its good news for us that Marbella has now become the home for luxury cars in Spain!

You only have to take a cruise up the Golden Mile from the centre of town to Puerto Banus and you will pass, or more likely be passed, by an exotic collection of machinery including Porsches, Ferraris, Bentleys and more recently McLarens.

The town sells more luxury cars than practically anywhere else in Spain.

So it is no surprise to find so many upmarket dealerships in town, including VIP Cars and No1 Cars Marbella in a nearby industrial zone, which offer a full range of services by British trained mechanics.

Heading in the other direction towards Estepona, you will find C. de Salamanca and Guarnieri selling the types of cars most can only dream of – Maseratis, McLarens and Rolls Royces.

Another well established dealer Miguel Domenech has been selling dream cars for over two years having made the decision to relocate from his native Sevilla and considers the Costa del Sol one of the best places to sell.

“In the last six months we have seen the market getting busier and busier,” he told the Olive Press. “I was involved in the luxury car business in Sevilla and when the crisis hit it was at its worst, but I didn’t want to leave the high end of the market”.

So what is Miguel’s dream car for the Costa del Sol? “Well, I drive to Sevilla a lot so for me it has to be something practical like an Audi A4 or A6 Avant.

“The most popular cars among my clients however are the Mercedes and BMWs. Though I suppose my perfect car would be a convertible Bentley!”.

Lamborghini Aventador Crash in London – Ouch!

A £250,000 supercar turned heads for the wrong reasons after it was involved in a three-car smash in Kensington.

The matt-black Lamborghini Aventador was left with damage to its front and had to be towed from the scene of the crash in Sloane Street.

Witnesses told how the rare supercar was in collision with a hatchback, causing the Lamborghini to veer off into a parked car.

After the crash, during which no one was hurt, shoppers in Sloane Street gathered around taking photos and videos.

Crash: The front right wing of the car was badly damaged Picture: Nigel HowardArt consultant Lila Afshar returned from a Mother’s Day lunch with her two daughters to discover their BMW had been the caught up in the collision.

Ms Afshar, from St John’s Wood, said: “We showed up about three hours after the incident and there was a letter on the windshield.

Witnesses said the rare supercar hit a hatchback and crashed into parked cars Picture: Nigel Howard“The Lamborghini was being towed away and the owner came up and explained what had happened.  He was really apologetic about it.”

The smash caused a mass outpouring of schadenfreude among witnesses on Twitter.

One user, who gave her name as Kate Sloane, wrote: “Smashed lambo on Sloane Street. The heart bleeds.”

Another posted: “Gutted for whichever footballer crashed their lambourgni on Sloane Street. Already people taking selfies with it.”

But one user took a more sympathetic approach, posting a photo and adding: “Not a good way to start a Sunday for this guy :(”

Thank you to The Evening Standard Motor Authority for this trending news.

Free Lamborghini Aventador.

Yes, you read it right ! Buyers purchasing a penthouse in Damac Maison at the Dubai Mall Street will be given a free 2014 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster as part of the company’s Dubai Shopping Festival promotion.

Customers buying a penthouse in Damac Maison, The Dubai Mall Street during DSF will be given a 2014 Lamborghini Aventador roadster with their purchase,” the company said in a statement to Emirates 24*7.

“Damac Properties’ DSF promotion is always highly anticipated and we see some of the best results of the year during this time,” says Niall McLoughlin, the Senior Vice President, Damac Properties.

Other cars such as BMW or Mini Cooper are also available in this offer, depending on the property customers buy. Last year buyers were even offered a 2014 Audi R8, Audi A8, Audi A6 and an Audi A4, while in 2012 buyers of the developer’s premium buildings were given a Lamborghini. All this sounds amazing, but this leads to all the neighbours having the same cars in their garage. The free car is just a marketing gimmick, as the property rates are already high.

Over the years during the DSF promotion, Damac has not only given away luxury cars, but also yachts, a private jet and a private island in the Caribbean !

If you don’t fancy the penthouse but do want to drive the Lamborghini contact us at Hemingway Luxury Car Hire and we will deliver one to your hotel in Dubai or anywhere in Europe.

Rent a luxury car in Barcelona and visit one of Adria´s fantastic restaurants.

If you are renting a Porsche or a Ferrari in Barcelona be sure to visit one of the four restaurants Adria has under his name. This is an extraordinary chef and is well worth the visit. Make sure you clink on the link to see the 41 Degrees experience. Barcelona is a city well worth visiting and renting a sports car here will make it even more of a special experience.

ALBERT Adria is the little brother no longer. After years of toiling under his famous sibling Ferran’s shadow, the Spaniard, once described as one of the world’s most underrated chefs, has been named The Daily Meal’s International Chef of the Year 2013.

With four Barcelona restaurants under his name, two of which were bestowed with their first Michelin stars for 2014, and a nod from Time magazine as one of 13 “Gods of Food” this fall, Adria has enjoyed a banner year.

As The Daily Meal’s 2013 International Chef of the Year, Adria joins a canon of master chefs such as Massimo Bottura, José Andrés, René Redzepi and Grant Achatz who were likewise recipients of the lofty title.

Chefs of the year are described as game-changers, pioneers and “culinary standard-bearers” who embody excellence.

In his profile of the rising star, editor Arthur Bovino describes Adria as “energetic yet easygoing, jocular yet still serious, ascendant but approachable” and one of the best-liked chefs within the fraternity of international cooks who regularly play the gastronomy circuit.

And given that he worked with his older brother since the age of 15 at the now-shuttered elBulli – which nabbed the title of World’s Best Restaurant five times – Adria says becoming a chef and restaurateur was written in the stars. Happily for him, some of them turned out be Michelin-grade.

In the interview, Adria also hints at the possibility of opening a New York outpost of his budding restaurant portfolio, though he reveals few other details.

“There does exist a possibility of opening a restaurant in New York City. I have some apprehension but also feel excitement about the idea. I’d love for Americans to enjoy a culinary endeavour of mine.”

If he’s not importing Peruvian Chifa dishes – fusion Peruvian and Chinese cuisine – to taste buds in Barcelona at Pakta, he’s elevating the dining experience to a new level at 41 Degrees, where guests dine on 41 courses which are accompanied by images projected onto a hanging glass art installation around the periphery of the room and a musical soundtrack.

Click on this link for a video of the eating experience at 41 Degrees.

Meanwhile, the US chef deemed this year’s game changer was Dan Barber of Blue Hill in New York City and Blue Hill at Stone Barns who was described as one of America’s most thoughtful chefs for championing local, sustainable and farm-fresh cuisine.
