Lamborghini finally finish the series of “teasers”.

Lamborghini has finally released a video of its newest car the Huracan in action. It’s actually the fourth in a series of videos, and as you may recall I was not a fan of the first three. This one does redeem the series somewhat, but that’s only because the Huracan is absolutely stunning.

If you haven’t seen the first three videos, and believe me you shouldn’t, they follow the three stupidest Brits in the world on their distinctly non-epic quest to break into the Lamborghini factory to get a look at the new Huracan. Oddly enough, the videos are called the “Hexagon Project”, even though there are four, not six of them. Though, I am just glad I didn’t have to watch two more.

Lamborghini Aventador cooks Christmas lunch.

If you are already thinking about how to cook your Christmas bird next year take a look at this clip.  A Lambourghini Aventador LP760 Oakley Design could do the work for you.

A man named Shmee, a.k.a. Tim, filmed himself in an ugly Christmas sweater trying to cook a turkey with the more than $400,000 car. He stands behind the car holding the turkey while an unknown driver revs the engine.

“We’ve got the most perfect turkey cooking car you could possibly imagine,” says Shmee. Because that’s something everyone imagines doing during the holidays.

Things don’t seem to go quite as planned. The car manages to throw a couple of flames and the camera switches back and forth from the car’s tachometer to Shmee awkwardly holding the turkey to the car’s exhaust pipe. The turkey still looks raw when the camera cuts to Shmee with some fully cooked turkey.

“A short while later and a lot of flames, we have one cooked turkey,” says Shmee. “So it’s time to try a bit. Perfect. Time to go home for Christmas lunch.”

If you do happen to have a Lambourghini in the driveway and want to try this at home, make sure you’ve outfitted the car with teeny-tiny reindeer antlers.

Two Ferrari LaFerrari, the car that money just cant buy, seen in Monaco.

Seeing a Ferrari LaFerrari is something, but spotting two of them is like getting hit by the lightning twice and this can most likely happen in just a few cities around the world.

The Italian supercars in question have been finished in two shades, Rosso (red) and the Nero Daytona (black). Say whatever you wish about this supercar but this is one of the best money can buy these days, along with its competition, the McLaren P1 or the Porsche 918 Spyder.

The Ferrari LaFerrari is the company’s first ever hybrid supercar and it has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, back in March. The model in question is taking its power from an 800 HP (588 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque 6.3 liter V12 engine, backed up by a 163 HP (120 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) electric motor. The assembly is good for a total of 963 HP (708 kW). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes less than 3 seconds and top speed stands at beyond 350 km/h (217 mph).

The replacement for the Ferrari California.

The replacement for the Ferrari California is in the final stages of development ahead of a launch at the Geneva show in the spring.

The model will usher in turbocharging to mainstream Ferraris, with the new car set to be powered by a 552bhp version of a new Ferrari-designed and built twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine first used in the Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli models.

Test mules indicate that there is still work to be done on the California replacement (its real name is still unknown), but Autocar understands Ferrari dealers are already taking pre-orders for the model with deliveries scheduled for May, just two months after its debut at the Geneva show.

The styling of the coupé-convertible is understood to have been heavily influenced by the F12, particularly at the front, although the shape of the headlights are said to be borrowed from the 458 Italia.

At the rear of the car, the height has been reduced slightly, although this visual effect is apparently heightened on the production car by some clever lines. The retractable hard-top roof remains.

For the interior, the cabin is also said to have had an overhaul. A new-look dashboard and a completely new multimedia system are among the upgrades.

The 552bhp, direct-injection turbo V8 is adapted from its 523bhp form in the Quattroporte. Our spy photographer reported a louder exhaust note than that of the normally aspirated V8 found in the current California.

A V6 engine option was understood to be under consideration at one stage, but plans for this have now been dropped.

Ferrari wants to reduce output of the California replacement by around 500 units per year as part of its plans to limit production to improve exclusivity but without harming profits.

Once order books officially open at Geneva, customers are likely to have to wait more than a year for delivery, with initial production preserved for pre-orders.

The price of the California replacement is understood to be the same as the £152,154 of the current model.

LAMBORGHINI HURACAN REVEALED

With the official release of photo´s and confirmation of the name Huracan, we can only hope that this means we may not have to suffer another teaser showing the three clueless lads who are currently ensconced in the Lamborghini factory in the third clip released this week. Sadly we think that there are more to come.

The successor to the Gallardo, Lamborghini’s best-selling model ever, is upon us at last. It took weeks of rumours and spy photos, and finally a host of leaked images, but here it is: the Huracán LP 610-4.

As with the Gallardo´s debut alongside the Murciélago, the Huracán arrives as a sort of ‘Aventador Lite’, toning down the wild styling for a more conventional but still iconically Lamborghini look.

The Huracán boasts the usual assortment of jet-like lines, its design dominated by gaping intakes and angry little headlights that won’t be confined to the rear-view mirror for long.

Lamborghini sold more than 14,000 Gallardo supercars over the course of its ten-year run, and there is little about the Huracán’s look that suggests it won’t better that achievement.

But if beauty is only skin deep, there’s little underneath to hold the Huracán back from becoming a new favourite among the well-heeled.

As expected, the Huracán is driven by a naturally-aspirated 5.2 litre V10 engine sending power to the all-wheel-drive system through a seven-speed dual-clutch auto.

That’s right, no manual with this one, and you probably won’t see a manual Lamborghini again.

The big V10 produces 610 horsepower – hence the LP 610-4 name – which translates to a very healthy 448kW, available at 8250rpm. Torque is rated at 560Nm, coming online at 6500rpm.

Lamborghini promises a 0-100km/h time of 3.2 seconds, forming the first portion of a 9.9 second run to 200km/h.

Top speed? Lamborghini says the 1422kg Huracán will make it a little beyond 325km/h. Of course, it’s a little heavier with fuel and a driver – it’ll need both of those – but the heads at SantÁgata are confident.

The Huracán isn’t especially thirsty, either, if Lamborghini is to be believed. Thanks to its Stop & Start system, the supercoupe lists fuel use at just 12.5 l/100km.

Standard features with the Huracán include carbon ceramic brakes and magneto-rheologic dampers, all working together with Strada, Sport and Corsa driving modes.

The Huracán will make its official world premiere at March’s Geneva Motor Show. Delivery to the first customers is planned for the northern Spring of 2014. Australian timing, and price, is still to be confirmed.

Oh, and, for the record: Huracán is Spanish for ‘hurricane’, but it is also the name of an ancient Mayan god of thunder and – you guessed it – a fighting bull, this one recorded in Alicante history way back in 1879.

Bentley Introduce a New Fragrance.

Bentley Motors have always produced exquisitely crafted cars and so the idea of being able to reproduce the expertise of the machinery and the highly luxurious interiors in a smell is an interesting one. In collaboration with Art & Fragrance, the British luxury automotive brand Bentley Motors has announced its first fragrance for men — Bentley for Men.

Only absolutely top brands play a role in today’s luxury goods’ world. There is a small elite club of brands that hold sway with their unique approach to life and the outstanding quality of their products.

A major name in this exclusive circle is the British brand icon Bentley Motors – “indisputably the best in its class for decades.”

In 2013, Bentley is for the first time presenting a premium fragrance: Bentley For Men — a fragrance that meets the very highest requirements and is sure to cause a sensation in the perfume world.

“Bentley For Men was created especially for cosmopolitan, self-confident, individualistic, and at the same time highly success-oriented men who are only satisfied with the very best,” the company stated.

Top French perfumer Nathalie Lorson from Firmenich is behind the creation of Bentley fragrances. She has skillfully transformed the quintessence of the legendary automobile brand Bentley into a superb and unmistakable fragrance experience. To do so, she has indulged in the finest perfume raw ingredients and clearly absolute must-haves for Bentley’s debut fragrance: wood and leather — best known from the luxurious handcrafted interior of Bentley cars.

Bentley For Men’s top notes offer an exhilarating cocktail of spicy and aromatic essences. The dark, throbbing power of black pepper meets invigorating bergamot and green bay leaves. The heart notes reveal the timeless elegance and sensual feel of brown leather. The perfumer has enhanced these leather notes with natural rum essence to give the composition incredible fullness and an elegantly addictive character. Clary sage and cinnamon then unfold, further heightening the finesse and uniqueness of the whole fragrance.

It sounds heavenly and so we are off to find it, if you have already found it let us know what you think of it.

Third Teaser Video from Lamborghini.

The three annoying boys are back in the third of the teasers for the replacement Gallardo.

Lamborghini is back with a new video teasing its supercar destined to replace the Gallardo, which recently ceased production. Expected to be called the Cabrera or Huracan or perhaps something else entirely, the new supercar should be revealed soon as suggested by the title of the latest teaser video, Getting Closer.

The video is the third from Lamborghini’s strange Hexagon Project marketing campaign. The first tease was of the sound of the new car’s exhaust note, which isn’t an unusual teaser for the type of high-performance cars you expect from a brand like Lamborghini.

But then the Hexagon Project became a series of pointless videos featuring three annoying lads from the U.K. who travel to the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese to get an unauthorized look at the car. The first video saw the lads reach their destination, the second saw them sneak into the building and this third one has them reach the production floor. Unfortunately, we still don’t get a glimpse of the car.

Lamborghini’s new supercar, which will compete against the likes of the McLaren 12C and Ferrari 458 Italia, will use a revised version of the Gallardo’s chassis and engine, most likely in combination with a dual-clutch transmission instead of the previous e-gear automated manual.

As with the Gallardo, all-wheel drive will be standard, but Lamborghini may release certain rear-wheel-drive models in the future.

Peak output should come in at 600 metric horsepower, meaning a 592-horsepower rating here in the U.S.

Jaguar shows British humour in the latest ad.

This has to be one of the funniest adverts we have seen in a long time, please watch this and we guarantee it will bring a smile to your face.

Mercedes-Benz should have known what it was getting itself into.

The German carmaker recently launched an ad using chickens to demonstrate the whimsically-named Magic Body Control system on the 2014 S-Class, one of many new high-tech features on Mercedes’ recently-reinvigorated flagship luxury sedan. Jaguar was not amused.

Magic Body Control uses the S-Class’ array of cameras and sensors to scan the road ahead and preemptively adjust the suspension to minimize harshness. That’s very clever, but the chickens seemed a bit too silly for the makers of the 2014 XJR.

So, the Brits apparently thought, why not fight fire with fire? Jaguar’s communications boffins decided to make an animal ad of their own, and guess which animal they chose.

Jaguar’s rebuttal ad is a face-off between the Mercedes chicken and an actual Jaguar. It ends exactly how one would expect it to.

“We prefer cat-like reflexes,” the tagline reads. Well played, Jaguar.

The rebuttal doesn’t quite convey any specific quality of a car the way the original Mercedes ad did, but it will probably be just as memorable. It’s good to know that, even in the hyper-competitive luxury car business, someone still has a sense of humour.

First watch the original Mercedes Benz advert, then the Jaguar come back and let us know which advert and which car your prefer and why.

Thank you  to Stephen Edelstein and www.motorauthority.com and thank you to Jaguar too.

Thanks also to www.joe.ie.com  who has found the video, below,  which shows where the original Mercedes Benz idea may have come from.

Both Jaguar and Mercedes Benz really are great ads as they both manage to their messages across without ever showing the final product. We wonder if they took an inspiration from the 1962 scientific study, ‘The Vestibular System of the Owl’, better known as the ‘Ro-ro-rotate Your Owl’ video…

Lamborghini and Blancpain, the similarities.

Blancpain is closely tied with Lamborghini and this is a lovely mini documentary produced by Watches.TV to show the intricacy of producing both machines, the cars and the watches.

The Watches.TV founder Marc André Deschoux makes some very interesting comparisons between large mechanics and small mechanics by drawing parallels between Lamborghini and Blancpain. Watch this five-minute video report taking you inside both factories and providing some unexpected views of how high-end mechanics are conceived and manufactured
